Multimedia Story
This semester I was tasked with creating a website showcasing a multimedia story. The website utilized HTML and CSS along with techniques learned from a digital media design course. The tools used to produce the story were Boostrap, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Lightroom. The final product produced is a marketing piece to attract visitors to visit Texas for Día de los Muertos. View the final story here.
Goal
The goal of the project was to produce a marketing piece that strategically showcases two Texas festivals to attract readers to attend.

The two celebrations that were highlighted in the marketing piece were Muerto Fest located in San Antonio and The Día de los Muertos Parade located in Houston.

The elements utilized in the project are text, photos, videos, and maps. The photos and video incorporated are all taken by me.
Challenges
Challenges included marketing the festivals strategically. I accomplished this by including key words for search engine optimization, included hyperlinks to the festival websites to entice readers to learn more, and included maps to allow readers to view the locations and easily get directions to the two festivals.
A second challenge was choosing the lay out and design for the piece. I incorporated colorful and vidvid photos and videos to be the focal part of the project. By utilizing this tactic it places the reader in the atmosphere of the festivals and entices the readers to want to be a part of the action.
